In the next few weeks or months my genealogy opportunities will expand greatly. FindMyPast is in the process of scanning and making searchable online at their database the sacramental records for the Archdiocese of New York. They are also currently adding the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. I was able to find a cousin's wife's baptism in Philadelphia from 1888. It also had a marriage notation for their 1909 marriage at St. Joseph Greenwich Village in Manhattan. This way I knew I had the correct Nellie Butler.

It looks like from the Philadelphia records that they will allowed access to records through the current year making it a 100 year privacy window. This will be a huge boon to researchers. In particular I am hoping to find the marriages of the following couples: 1863 John Rafferty and Ellen O'Brien, 1880 Owen Goodwin and Elizabeth (O)Connor(s), 1881 Arthur Moons and Margaret Rafferty, 1890 Peter Goodwin and Mary Cunningham, 1896 John Meade and Maria Cruise, 1897 George and Margaret Benson, 1898 Jeremiah Flaherty and Sarah Goodwin, 1899 Stephen Tregoning and Fredericka Boschert and 1900 Patrick Mulcahy and Bridget McGinn.
